Write For the Blog

We love to hear from you. Contact us with comments here, and submit blog entries here. We get to submissions as quickly as possible, and will get back to you with any questions that you have. To speed things up, here are a few tips:

  • Proofread your blog entry. The Evil Eye is always watching for ways to interfere with your brilliant prose.
  • Make sure that you fill in the form for blog entries cited above.
  • Our basic policy on spelling is simple: We follow your spelling as long as you are consistent in your blog post. This lets us post entries that spell the location in which plays are performed as theater as well as entries that spell the same location as theatre.
  • Don't include quotes that are copyrighted by someone else unless you have permission.

About
Uta

Born in Germany, Uta Hagen moved to Madison, Wisconsin, at the age of six. With the exception of several interruptions for study in Europe, Ms. Hagen received most of her schooling in Madison, her home until age sixteen. After training briefly at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, she made her professional debut in 1937 in Dennis, Massachusetts, as “Ophelia” in Eva Le Gallienne’s production of Hamlet.
